In an update shared by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on their official Facebook page, several officers and one member of the professional staff were named employees of the month for January, the accolades intended to honor their contributions to the force and the community they serve. According to the department's post, the individuals recognized are Detective Alec Viscount, Officer Andrea Strauss, Officer Matthew Osborn, Officer Charles Lineberger, Officer Tristan Cheviron, Detective Nathan Brown, Officer Andrew Embrey, Officer Jabari Credle, Detective Misty Hall, and Adrianna Florczyk, hailing from different divisions within the department.
The CMPD recognized employees for demonstrating integrity, compassion, and commitment—qualities that strengthen the department and build trust with the community. Honorees included Detective Alec Viscount and Officer Andrea Strauss from the Metro Division, and Officers Matthew Osborn, Charles Lineberger, and Tristan Cheviron from the University City Division. Each has made a positive impact in their respective areas.
Detective Nathan Brown and Officer Andrew Embrey from the Eastway Division, and Officer Jabari Credle from the Steele Creek Division, were also recognized. Detective Misty Hall from the Crime Gun Suppression Team was highlighted for her work on gun-related offenses, and Investigative Tech Adrianna Florczyk was praised for her contributions as a professional staff member supporting department operations.
The CMPD’s social media post concluded: “Congratulations, thank you for showing up every day with courage, professionalism and a genuine desire to make a difference!” The department emphasized that effective law enforcement relies not only on officers in the field but also on professional staff working behind the scenes.
