Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a homicide after a body was found by the railroad tracks on Alpha Mill Lane on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Authorities responded around 3:30 p.m. to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
CMPD’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Search Team responded to the 300 block of Alpha Mill Lane to investigate the homicide. Representatives from CMPD Operations Command, the fire department, and Victim Services also assisted at the scene, supporting the ongoing investigation.
