
Charlotte authorities are turning to the community in hopes of tracking down a suspect in a recent homicide case. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has been on the hunt for 17-year-old Jesus Narvaez Hernandez, identified in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in the early hours of a September morning.
According to CMPD, the incident occurred just after 2:45 a.m. on Sept. 7 on Atando Avenue, where officers found two people shot—one who died at the scene and another with life-threatening injuries. A third person later went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have identified Jesus Narvaez Hernandez as a suspect and obtained a murder warrant for his arrest. Hernandez is still at large, and CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) is asking the public for tips. He is described as a Hispanic male, about 5’7” tall and 150 pounds.
