The City of Charlotte Government has announced a new initiative geared towards informing residents about the ins and outs of fair housing within the city limits. This session, slated to be both interactive and informative, will focus on Charlotte's Fair Housing Ordinance as well as the latest updates from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Set to be held at the University City Regional Library, specifically within the community room on the first floor, the event is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, from 5 to 6 p.m. It's an open opportunity for community members to engage directly with City staff and gain insight into housing regulations that may affect them. The City of Charlotte's social media post invites the public to "Join Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations for an interactive information session that will guide participants through Charlotte's Fair Housing Ordinance and the latest HUD requirements." Attendees are encouraged to register online at cltgov.me/3NdsIPe, as per the City's guidance.
For those in need of accommodations to enable their participation, the City is making arrangements to provide for accessibility. Individuals requiring such assistance are prompted to call 704-336-4229 to request accommodations.
