On Friday, the U.S. Marshals Service apprehended a Clayton County man linked to a serious armed robbery and aggravated assault. The arrest was made in Riverdale, Georgia by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF). According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Jabrail Richardson was wanted for an incident dating back to March 2025, in which he reportedly brandished a KelTec 5.7 rifle at College Park Customs, committing an armed robbery.
Clayton County Police Department sought the expertise of SERFTF in early January to locate and arrest Richardson. In pursuit of justice, the task force was able to track him down without incident at an undisclosed residence. The arrest transpired only days after the assistance was requested, reflecting the efficacy of the SERFTF in capturing alleged criminals swiftly.
The scene took an unexpected turn when, during the apprehension, SERFTF officers observed what appeared to be illegal narcotics within the premises. The discovery warranted immediate action - a search warrant was obtained to thoroughly investigate the suspected illegal activity. As a result, the task force confiscated an array of firearms – two semi-automatic handguns and two semi-automatic rifles – along with approximately four pounds of marijuana, as stated by the U.S. Marshals Service press release.
All evidence, including the seized drugs and firearms, were turned over to the Clayton County Police Department for further analysis and processing. This recent bust underscores the SERFTF's continuous dedication to rid the streets of both violence and drugs, aiming to restore a sense of safety in the community.
