Ahead of the Clearwater Marathon & Running Festival on Jan. 24–25, residents and visitors should expect road closures across the city. Races ranging from a 5K to an ultra marathon will start and finish at Sand Key Park. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes.

The City of Clearwater advises that on Jan. 24, Gulf Blvd from S. Gulfview Blvd to Sand Key Park will be closed from 7–9 a.m. Jan. 25 will see additional closures, including northbound Gulf Blvd between Sand Key Park and S. Gulfview Blvd (6:55–7:15 a.m.) and sections of Bayway Blvd and S. Gulfview Blvd.

During the marathon, the northbound bike lane on Gulf Blvd between the Belleair and Sand Key bridges will be converted to a runner’s lane from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Roads including S. Hamden Drive and Devon Drive will have staggered closures, causing possible delays.

Oak Ave, Rogers St., and Orange Ave. will be closed from 7–11:30 a.m. during the marathon. Southbound Druid Rd S will be closed from Clearwater to Belleview 7:15–11:45 a.m.
