Over the weekend, the city of Clearwater experienced an unusual type of race—a 5K that had runners decked out not in the traditional athletic gear but in costumes inspired by one of nature's most serene creatures: the duck. Nearly 500 participants gathered at Coachman Park, bringing a splash of yellow to the greenery as they raced with the World's Largest Rubber Duck overseeing the festivities. The City of Clearwater Government shared on social media that the Duck Dash 5K was a "quacking good time."
The whimsical Duck Dash 5K gave participants and spectators a fun, active experience. Coachman Park will continue to feature Mama Duck, the giant inflatable, through January 26. The full lineup of Duck Days activities is available on the city’s event page.
