The City of Cleveland Heights is calling upon its community to help the future leaders, thinkers, and changers of their town look their sharpest for an evening of celebration – the annual prom night. In an initiative by the city's authorities, a "Tiger Nation Prom Closet Collection Drive & Giveaway" has been established, giving a helping hand to those in need of formal attire for this milestone event. According to a social media post from the City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio - City Hall, donations of new or gently used formal dresses, suits, shoes, accessories, and even perfumes and colognes are accepted at several locations.
Residents with closet treasures from the last two years are urged to bring their items to the Noble Library, Lee Rd, or the Board of Education, ensuring no young adult misses out on the quintessential prom experience due to financial constraints. Alongside tangible goods, Cleveland Heights residents can also donate their time by signing up at a designated website, or make monetary donations via an official link catered to this cause. The collection drive is ongoing, with donations being accepted from Jan. 12 through to March 28, the city hall informed.
The search for the perfect prom ensemble doesn't have to be a solo mission. Those in need of evening wear can register for a Prom Closet appointment, where they'll be matched with their dream outfit for the big night, all at no cost. The initiative isn't just a campaign for obtaining luxury items, it's about providing an experience of pride and confidence for the youth of Cleveland Heights.
