The Cleveland Division of Police is actively seeking the public's assistance in locating both the vehicle and the driver responsible for the fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred early last Saturday morning on the city's west side. The accident tragically resulted in the death of a man in his 30s who was walking along Lorain Avenue.
According to the details released by the police, cited by Cleveland19, the tragedy took place around 2:38 a.m. in the 13900 block of Lorain Avenue. Responding officers discovered the victim, who was then transported to the hospital by Cleveland EMS and, sadly, pronounced dead. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored four-door sedan with heavily tinted windows, which was reported to have been speeding, overtaking another vehicle on the right, and subsequently losing control, veering into the bicycle lane, where it struck the victim.
Authorities have provided photographs of the suspect vehicle, which is believed to have sustained significant damage to its front passenger fender, hood, windshield, and rear passenger bumper. Furthermore, "The vehicle, going above the speed limit, passed another vehicle on the right, went into the bike lane, lost control and hit the victim," FOX8 News detailed.
