In the Browns’ narrow 20-18 victory over the Bengals, Bush not only recorded 14 tackles, but he also made a stunning 97-yard interception return for a touchdown.
The impressive feat was not only the second-longest interception return seen this NFL season, but it also stands tied as the fourth-longest in the storied history of the Browns franchise, the Beacon Journal added. Bush's galvanizing play this week adds a peak to a season where he led the league with two touchdowns on interception returns, amassed a career-high 124 tackles, and secured three interceptions. He's clearly been busy this season, and the stats sure don't lie about his impact on the field.
It's not the first time Bush has been in the weekly league honor spotlight, having previously won the award back in Week 6 of the 2019 season while with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now after his latest gridiron exploit, he joins fellow Browns players including Andre Szmyt, Grant Delpit, and Myles Garrett, who have all been named AFC Players of the Week during the 2025 season, according to the same Beacon Journal article.
While statistics like two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, two sacks, eight passes defensed, seven tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits make for quite the portfolio, Bush's future is floating in free agency waters come March as reported by BrownsZone, after joining the Browns as a free agent in 2024, and returning on a one-year deal for '25, it seems he'll be looking to make a fresh contract splash in the offseason.
