A routine traffic stop in Clint, Texas, led to the arrest of an individual with an outstanding warrant for driving while intoxicated. In a statement released by the Clint Texas Police Department, authorities detailed the incident that occurred on Saturday, January 17.
It was at 17:41 when a Clint Police Department officer, responding to a vehicle with expired registration, pulled over a gray SUV on the 200 block of Camino Delarosa. While it seemed like a mundane violation, a standard warrants check quickly turned the tables, revealing more about the driver than they would've anticipated. The police noted that the driver had an active warrant for driving while intoxicated, third or more, issuing from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The driver was subsequently detained and now faces the legal consequences of their actions, being booked into the El Paso County jail. Facing a $50,000 cash surety bond, the individual's legal journey has just begun, with the wheels of justice set in motion. The Clint Texas Police Department has reminded the public that, despite the severity of the charges, "All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
