Collierville Assistant Chief of Police David Townsend confirmed that 19-year-old Bryant Swing Jr. has been indicted on multiple charges related to a sexual assault investigation at St. George's Independent School. Swing faces charges including aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, criminal attempted rape, and two counts of sexual battery, Action News 5 reported.

According to the Olive Branch Police Department, Swing and three others were arrested on November 14, 2025. The allegations involve an incident that reportedly occurred on St. George’s campus on October 8, 2025, after school hours. School officials were notified on November 5, 2025, and police were informed the following day, Action News 5 stated. Swing, who initially faced charges related to evidence tampering, turned himself in yesterday and is being booked into the Shelby County Jail.

Defense attorney John McNeil told WREG that the most serious charges—aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping—are Class A felonies. Conviction on either charge carries a minimum sentence of 15 years and up to 25 years. If sentences for both charges run consecutively, Swing could face more than 50 years in prison.

The case also involves other individuals. Swing’s mother faces charges of hindering prosecution, conspiracy to commit a crime, and accessory after the fact. His father is charged with an unrelated drug offense. An unidentified 14-year-old has also been charged with aggravated rape in connection to the case.

St. George's Independent School, located on Houston Levee Road, informed parents last year that it had launched an investigation after the reports surfaced. FOX 13 Memphis reported that the school expelled multiple students and placed Head of School Luke Pruett on temporary administrative leave during the investigation.
