In Columbus, a recent arrest has wrapped up an investigation into a series of aggravated robberies that had unsettled local businesses. Culminating in the detainment of a 15-year-old, the breakthrough in the case came after exhaustive police work connected the juvenile to a robbery that occurred on October 18, 2025, according to a statement issued by the Columbus Division of Police on social media.
The alarm was raised late into the night when officers responded to a 1:22 a.m. call from a store on Refugee Rd., where the suspect reportedly intimidated a cashier with a gun and demanded money from the register. The teen suspect's brazen escape on foot left officers fruitlessly canvassing the neighborhood, according to the Columbus Division of Police post.
Persistent investigative work eventually tied the youth to not only the reported robbery but also linked them to several other similar crimes in the area. The evidence led to aggravated robbery warrants being issued against the young individual. Their spree reached its end when authorities arrested the teenager the day before the police's announcement, fortunately without further incident.
