
An unexpected event unfolded inside the Northern District police station in Baltimore City when a shotgun went off, leading to a contractor being injured. According to FOX Baltimore, during a routine firearm inspection on Tuesday morning at approximately 9:45 a.m., a shotgun inadvertently fired, striking a wall within the precinct.
The mishap resulted in the scattering of debris, which subsequently struck a female contractor in the leg. Positionally situated at the hallway's extremity, the woman was promptly taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for what were described as minor injuries.
The ongoing investigation into this incident is being spearheaded by the Baltimore Police Department’s Special Investigations Response Team, as reported by WMAR2 News.
