In a recent ceremony that drew attention to the enduring commitment of city workers, the City of Coppell gave a nod to its long-serving employees. The tenure awards ceremony, an annual gathering that has yet to become as routine as the dedication it honors, acknowledged a collective 125 years of service from members of various city departments. According to a social media post by the Coppell Police Department, among those commemorated were eight of their own.

The Coppell Police Department expressed pride in its employees, noting, "This past week, the City of Coppell held their tenure awards ceremony, which celebrates city employees who hit major year milestones in their time of service with Coppell." The accolades were diverse, recognizing employees for milestones ranging from a decade to a quarter century of service. Such longevity in public service is rare enough to be specially marked, and their gesture aims to continue to motivate not only those honored but also their peers.

Among the celebrated individuals were Corporal Cochran and Officer Tyler, both of whom have dedicated 25 years to the city. They were joined by Investigator Greg Brown, whose 20-year tenure underscores a career spent in the interest of public safety. Others recognized included Officer Acker and Officer Horner, alongside Animal Services Manager Charlene Lovato and Crime Analyst Jim O’Connor, each of whom has contributed 15 years. Rounding out the group was Senior Administrative Assistant Kim Burkleo, whose 10 years of service underscore the diversity of roles that underpin the workings of the city government.
