Deerfield Beach residents can take advantage of a free document shredding event to securely dispose of personal papers. According to the City of Deerfield Beach, the event will be held on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bernard Adams Municipal Complex.
Attendees may bring up to two boxes of confidential documents for shredding. According to city guidelines, staples, paperclips, and standard file folders are allowed, while binders, large metal clips, and plastic items should be excluded. Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, will be required to participate.
The city encourages residents to shred personal documents as a precaution against identity theft. All materials collected at the event will be recycled, supporting both secure disposal and environmental sustainability.
For residents unable to attend, Deerfield Beach will offer monthly shredding events through September. Additional information and a full schedule can be found on the city’s official Shred webpage.
