
A grass fire that erupted in the Canyon Falls area of Denton County was successfully brought under control on Wednesday, local emergency services have confirmed. The blaze, reported in the 1400 block of Barberry Lane, prompted a swift response from Denton County Emergency Services Districts No. 1 & 2.
Residents were urged to keep clear of the area to ensure unobstructed access for first responders. According to a social media update from the Denton County Emergency Services District 1 & 2, the situation was under control by 2:36 pm with all units clearing the scene shortly after. The initial call came in at 1:25 pm, indicating the fire department's rapid deployment and effective handling of the emergency.
The incident highlights the perennial threat of grass fires in the region, especially during periods of extended dryness or high winds.
