The City of Durham is reminding residents about the proper disposal of their holiday trees. The Environmental & Street Services team is providing guidance on preparing trees for environmentally friendly disposal.
The City of Durham, NC, announced via a social media post that the Waste Disposal & Recycling Center at 2115 E. Club Blvd. is accepting holiday tree drop-offs. Additional Saturday disposal sites are also available for residents. Free curbside collection, however, is limited to yard waste and exempt service customers. Residents are encouraged to visit the city’s website for more detailed information.
