
Tragedy struck in the neighborhood of East Dallas late Monday night as Dallas Police were dispatched in response to a shooting incident. The Dallas Police Department reported that at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, law enforcement officers arrived at the 2900 block of E 11th Street to find Just Smith-Gibbs, aged 27, with multiple gunshot wounds. The circumstances behind the shooting have yet to be discerned as the investigation continues.
Following the arrival of Dallas Fire-Rescue, Smith-Gibbs was swiftly transported to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Smith-Gibbs was pronounced dead, marking a somber culmination to the evening's events. The case, assigned the number 002884-2026, is being probed to unravel the motives behind the crime, which remain elusive at this juncture.
