An elderly man was found fatally shot Friday in a quiet Spring neighborhood, prompting an investigation by Harris County authorities. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Precinct 4 office responded to a call initially reported as a medical emergency on Pecan Brook Court in the Pinelakes Promenade subdivision, according to FOX 26 Houston.
Officials found the elderly man outside with a gunshot wound. Klein Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Constable Herman said the shooting appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The victim’s identity has not been released, and no suspect description has been provided.
According to Precinct 4’s Facebook page, deputies are investigating the incident and asked residents to avoid the area while crews work. The office said updates will be shared on its social media pages and through the “C4 NOW” mobile app.
