In northeast Houston, an elderly woman was killed during a gunfight with two home invasion suspects early Monday morning. Police responded to a 1 a.m. call at 4018 Lockwood Drive and found three people with gunshot wounds: the two suspects and the homeowner, who was in her late 70s, according to Click2Houston.
A homeowner was fatally shot after encountering masked intruders. She fired at the suspects, who were taken to a hospital—one in critical condition, the other stable. Police say no one else was in the home, but a KHOU report states there were other people inside who were unharmed and not involved in the shooting.
The Houston Police Homicide Division is investigating a home invasion in which an elderly resident died. The homeowner wounded both suspects before dying from her injuries.
