Last Saturday, Fairfield police were called to a gas station on the 3300 block of North Texas Street after reports of a man loitering and eventually showing a firearm. The suspect had already left the scene by the time officers arrived, according to a social media post from the Fairfield, CA Police Department.
Later that same day, at approximately 12:42 PM, an officer encountered a vehicle parked in a handicap spot outside a drug store on Travis Boulevard. The situation quickly escalated when the officer observed a firearm inside the vehicle during his interaction with the driver. The driver, Jamar Davis, 38, who is a convicted felon, was detained, and the firearm was confiscated.
Upon further investigation, the same Jamar Davis was connected to the earlier gas station incident and was subsequently arrested. Davis, whose criminal history prohibits him from possessing firearms, has been charged with multiple weapons violations. These charges include being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition. He was booked into Solano County Jail following his arrest.
