
A hit-and-run on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported the collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. near Whitney Avenue, just south of Tropicana Avenue. According to News 3 LV, a dark-colored sedan traveling north struck the pedestrian, who was in the storage lane south of a marked crosswalk, and the vehicle continued north without stopping.
The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where they later died from injuries sustained in the crash. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the dark-colored sedan or its driver to come forward. In a statement reported by 8 News Now, authorities noted that the victim was not in a crosswalk when they attempted to cross Boulder Highway. The hit-and-run temporarily closed part of the roadway.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigation and have asked for the public’s help in locating the driver involved in the fatal hit-and-run.
