
Last Saturday morning, a male pedestrian was fatally struck by a silver Toyota Camry at the 5000 block of Lockwood Drive in Houston around 3:55 a.m., while crossing at a marked crosswalk. Houston police confirmed the ongoing investigation, with the victim’s identity pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the City of Houston.
Witnesses reported the driver briefly returned to the scene after making a U-turn at Rand Street but left without offering aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and declared the victim dead at the scene, as outlined by HPD Vehicular Crimes Division officials, as reported by the City of Houston.
