A late-night crash near Nellis Air Force Base has left one person dead, with local authorities suspecting impairment may have been a factor. A three-wheeled trike was involved in the crash at an intersection just west of Nellis Boulevard, resulting in the rider’s death at the scene. The sedan’s driver remained on site while Las Vegas Metropolitan Police investigated possible impairment, including breathalyzer and blood tests, according to a statement obtained by 8 News Now.
Authorities closed Craig Road after the crash to allow for the investigation, reopening it around 4:15 a.m., roughly six hours later, FOX5 Vegas reports. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police’s fatal detail is handling the case, though details remain limited as the investigation continues.
