Pierce County deputies are urgently asking for the public's help finding 60-year-old Ginger Meier, who has been missing since Jan. 11. Her vehicle turned up near Bradley Lake Park, and relatives have shared details with investigators that suggest she could be in danger. Volunteers and deputies have already scoured the area, but so far, there are no solid leads.
Sheriff's Office: 'We Do Believe She's Not Safe'
According to The News Tribune, Pierce County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carly Cappetto said Meier was last seen at her home on Jan. 11, and that information provided by her family raised serious concerns about her safety. The Sheriff's Office Facebook post, cited by the paper, describes Meier as a white woman about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. Cappetto told the paper, "we do believe she's not safe," and urged anyone who might know something to reach out to investigators.
How Neighbors Can Help Right Now
Deputies are asking nearby residents to review Ring and other security camera footage for anyone matching Meier's description and to save any clips that could be relevant. As outlined in the Pierce County Sheriff's Office blog, people with tips should call the department's non-emergency line at 253-287-4455. Officials emphasize that potential sightings and leads should be reported directly to law enforcement rather than posted on social media.
Bradley Lake Park Search Turns Up Few Clues
Deputies found Meier's car in the Bradley Lake Park area, The News Tribune reported, and search teams have been working the park trails and surrounding neighborhoods. At this stage, investigators say they have no additional leads and are again asking residents to comb through any surveillance footage from the days around her disappearance.
