The community-oriented event invites everyone to come together with festivities starting at the Peck Center and winding through the city streets. Those who want to join in honoring King's enduring message can line up at 11:00 a.m., with the parade set to commence at noon. Despite the chilly temperatures, the police department is calling on participants to not let the cold weather to dampen their resolve. "Yes, it’s freezing out there, but don’t let that stop you!" states the Fernandina Beach Police Department's announcement, pushing residents to "Bundle up and come out to show your support."

Please plan ahead, be patient, and most importantly: Watch for pedestrians, be mindful of cyclists, and keep an eye out for children enjoying the celebration."
