The Folsom Police Department is opening its doors to community members looking to play a more active role in maintaining neighborhood safety. A meeting for Neighborhood Watch Block Captains is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m., and it aims to foster stronger community ties and disseminate valuable safety information from the police department to the residents.
Those interested in the initiative, whether currently serving as block captains or considering the role, are encouraged to attend the gathering at the police station located at 46 Natoma Street. The notice posted on social media emphasizes the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and the community, and how such a partnership is instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of the neighborhood.
"Come connect with neighbors, get updates from Folsom PD, and learn how we can continue working together to keep our community safe," the Folsom Police Department shared in a social media post. They are extending a warm invitation to all, suggesting that attendees should "Bring a neighbor!" to the event in a clear effort to broaden community involvement and share the load of communal vigilance.
