A former Highmark Health manager has been charged with multiple offenses, including indecent assault and harassment, after an investigation into disturbing incidents involving a co-worker's mug. WPXI reported that Timothy Haver was caught on a hidden camera, set up by Highmark Health police, with the employee's consent, tampering with her mug on two occasions.
According to the WPXI report, the victim initially noticed the problem when her water didn't taste right, leading her to discover a foreign substance that appeared to be bodily fluid in her mug multiple times over a period. When asked during an interview with the police, Haver allegedly stated that "he felt that this was his only way of getting close with her", admitting to the acts '3 or 4 times'.
Audacy further details how swabs were taken from the mug as evidence, with the affidavit stating that when pressed if the substance was poison or semen, Haver replied, "It wasn’t poison." Highmark Health has subsequently terminated Haver's employment, following the charges filed in early December.
While a preliminary hearing was initially scheduled yesterday, it was delayed due to weather-related court closures. Highmark Health emphasized its commitment to employee safety in a statement, cited by Audacy, saying, "the safety and security of our valued team members in their work environment is our highest priority, and we have zero tolerance for any individual conduct or behavior that harms or threatens the well-being others." They have pledged full cooperation with the DA’s office in the prosecution of the case.
