The Milwaukee County Dementia Care Specialist Program is launching a new opportunity in March 2026. In partnership with the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center, the program will offer Growing Connections, a free gardening program for people living with dementia and their care partners, according to the Milwaukee County Department of Health & Human Services Facebook post.

Growing Connections is a relaxed and welcoming program focused on learning, connection, and enjoying time together. No gardening experience is needed, just a willingness to have fun and try something new.

The program will be held on the first Wednesday of each month from 3–4 p.m. at the Washington Park Urban Ecology Center, 1859 N. 40th Street in Milwaukee. Pre-registration is required, and interested participants can contact Candice LeGros at 414-731-0891 or [email protected], as detailed by the Milwaukee County Department of Health & Human Services.
