In a push to increase immunization rates among its residents, the Florida Department of Health in Duval County is offering MMR, Influenza, and Hepatitis A vaccines this weekend. According to a recent social media post from the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government, the pop-up clinic is scheduled for February 1 and will be held at the Regency Library located at 9300 Regency Square Blvd from 9am until Noon.
For those unable to attend the Sunday event, DOH-Duval’s facilities are open Monday to Friday, welcoming walk-ins and those preferring to schedule an appointment; citizens interested in getting vaccinated against these diseases, which range from highly contagious to potentially fatal, have ample opportunity to protect themselves and their community. Services are available at 515 West 6th Street and 3225 University Boulevard South between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., where anyone in need can either walk in or call 904-253-1130 to make an appointment.
The Florida Department of Health provides these outreach programs to make protective medical services accessible to all.
