In a considerate move to accommodate residents affected by the recent weather disruptions, the City of Frisco has announced an extension to the expiration date of its Rail District gift card program. Holders of the Blue & Copper Rail District gift cards, as well as the YIFTEE bonus digital gift cards, have been granted a reprieve until February 28 to utilize their credits. This decision aims to ensure that community support for Frisco's local businesses remains strong despite the challenges posed by the winter storms.
In a social media post from the City of Frisco, the extension was clearly detailed. The post highlighted a crucial detail for cardholders: "Because YIFTEE digital gift cards uses the UTC time zone, these cards will officially expire at 6:00 PM CST on February 28th, so be sure to use them before then." The extension is intended not only provide relief to those who might have been unable to spend their gift cards but also to continue to actively support the local economy.
The Rail District gift card program has been part of a broader initiative to foster economic activity within the historic downtown area of Frisco, known as The Rail District. The area, which boasts a collection of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, relies heavily on local patronage, particularly in the wake of adverse weather events that can temporarily stunt commercial activity.
