A rare North Texas snowfall turned deadly in Frisco on Sunday afternoon when a sled being towed behind a Jeep hit a curb and crashed into a tree, killing one teen and critically injuring another. Fire and police crews found two 16-year-old girls with life-threatening injuries, performed life-saving measures at the scene, and rushed both to area hospitals. One of the teens later died at the hospital.
According to a press release from the City of Frisco, officers were called around 2:26 p.m. Sunday to the area of Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court. There, they located the two 16-year-old females with critical injuries and coordinated their transport to local hospitals. The release states that one of the victims did not survive.
