
In Galt, Edgar Allan Bonifacio, 33, was arrested for the alleged homicide and abuse of his 7-month-old daughter. According to the Galt Police Department on their Facebook page, the investigation began in August 2025 after UC Davis Medical Center reported suspected child abuse. Bonifacio was taken into custody at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday.
Bonifacio said his daughter slipped from his arms and fell while they were alone, causing her to become unresponsive. Medical experts later said her injuries did not match this explanation. After 49 days in the hospital, she died from her injuries, as reported by ABC10.
Bonifacio is being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of homicide and felony child abuse resulting in the death of his infant daughter, Natalia Cruz Felix. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office reported that she died from blunt force head injuries at their home in Galt on August 2, 2025. His legal proceedings are pending.
