Honolulu will see mostly light winds, typical clouds, and occasional afternoon showers through the weekend. A cold front is expected Monday, bringing heavier showers, cooler temperatures, and a seasonable chill into early Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Post-front conditions will feature northeasterly trade winds and mostly dry weather, with brief VFR to MVFR impacts for aviation due to clouds. Light sea breezes will prevail through Friday, though mariners should watch for increasing surf from a north-northwest swell by the weekend, as reported by the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service forecasts higher waves for the north shore this weekend, possibly reaching High Surf Warning levels, with a northwest swell increasing waves into Monday and Tuesday. South shore waves are expected to remain small. No watches, warnings, or advisories are currently in effect.
