Visiting the Golden Gate for her birthday, Chicagoan Alexandria Parham likened the hotel's anniversary celebrations to a personal party, as reported by KTNV. "It's her birthday, [the Golden Gate's] birthday — it's like they're throwing her a birthday party as far as we're concerned!" Anthony Parham, Alexandria's husband, told KTNV.
The hotel’s rich history includes original features like a bar beloved by Rat Pack members and a vintage surveillance system. Jeff Victor, Circa Hospitality Group Vice President of Operations, provided a tour that underscored the building's remnants of Vegas’ past. While taking reporters through, he highlighted elements such as a preserved tiled water fountain and a section of brick wall from the original 1906 structure. "You think about all the souls that've walked through here, all the things that this building has seen, and to have it reveal itself in little things like this is terribly exciting," Victor said.
