In a move that brings new opportunities for the youth of Grove City during the chill of winter, Grove City Parks & Rec. has partnered with Bogey’s Grove City to tee off an indoor golf league for budding enthusiasts. This initiative offers a swing at both competition and camaraderie within the warmth of an indoor facility, tapping into the potential that lies within community sports partnerships.

Targeted at different age groups, the program is split into two categories. As per an announcement shared on the Grove City Parks & Recreation Facebook page, teenagers aged 14-17 will have the chance to "Shoot nine holes at a different virtual course for six weeks, competing as an individual." Younger golfers, aged 9-13, are set to engage in a putt-putt league, which will also allow them time to practice their swings.

The league comes with a registration fee, set at $120 per player, which unlocks access to the facilities and the structured competition. It will be hosted at Bogey's Indoor Golf, located at 4097 Hoover Road, providing a dedicated space for the participants to develop their golfing skills.

Activities are scheduled to commence on Feb. 7 and will run through to March 14, with sessions held on Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., allowing ample time for young golfers to play without conflicting with school hours. Interested parties were advised to register by Dec. 31, directing them to secure their slot via the Parks & Rec. registration portal. With such initiatives in play, this collaborative effort by Grove City Parks & Rec. and Bogey’s Grove City not only fosters a sporting spirit but also knits the community closer through shared interests and the love of the game.
