The Gwinnett County Police Department offers a starting salary range of $55,923 to $86,090, along with benefits such as a 4% annual raise, shift differential pay, and educational incentives. New recruits may also be eligible for a 10% hiring bonus based on their starting pay. Candidates who receive a Final Job Offer are guaranteed immediate employment, regardless of the police academy start date.
The Gwinnett County Police Department is looking to expand its team. Currently, the department has an authorized strength of 931 sworn officers and 141 communications officers, supported by 205 civilian staff, serving over one million residents across 436 square miles.
