Penta Lays Out The Mega Build
John Cannito, president and CEO of The PENTA Building Group, told FOX5 that the project centers on a roughly 680-foot tower with about 675 rooms, sitting on a 400,000-square-foot podium capped by a rooftop pool deck. He said the site now has about 650 workers and that "at our peak we're expecting to be about 1,500 to 1,800 workers," a projection that hints at just how crowded the job site will get. Cannito also stressed that safety remains the top priority as activity ramps up in the coming months.

With staffing levels expected to climb for an extended stretch, managers say the stand-down will give contractors a formal space to align on traffic control setups, crane operations and work windows along busy pedestrian corridors. The goal is to keep visitors moving and disruptions contained while dozens of trades operate in tight quarters around the Strip.

The project is reported to be on track for a late-2027 opening, with the finished Hard Rock complex set to feature the guitar tower plus renovated Mirage rooms for roughly 3,600 total keys, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. The Review-Journal also notes that the resort program has grown in areas such as pool and spa footprints as design details have evolved. For now, the guitar tower’s blue glass and rising steel are already starting to change the Strip skyline.
