Last Monday, deputies responded to reports of a suspicious individual at a local apartment complex. Upon arrival, officers apprehended Roshan Upreti, who had previously been identified as a potential threat to the safety and privacy of a resident in the complex. Constable Mark Herman's Office deputies swiftly took action against a suspect involved in a longstanding stalking scenario.
Known for his unwelcome persistence, Upreti was caught near the complex following earlier encounters where the victim had been shadowed repeatedly, even to the point of Upreti bedding down outside their home. Detained by the deputies, the suspect was familiar with the victim, which led to swift and decisive law enforcement intervention.
According to a post made on Constable Herman's page, "Roshan Upreti was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Criminal Trespassing and Stalking." The courts were prompt in their response as well, with a combined bond of $16,000 set out of County Court 16 and the 486th District Court.
The constable’s office is urging residents to remain vigilant and informed following recent incidents.
