Last Friday, Harris County deputies stopped a vehicle on the North Freeway after the driver was found sleeping. When deputies tried to wake him, the driver, identified as Sheldon Coleman, tried to flee but was quickly caught. Coleman was arrested for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. The 488th District Court set his bond at $7,500, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
A passenger in the vehicle, Roy Winters, initially refused deputies' orders to exit and was subdued with a Taser. He had an open felony warrant and was also charged with Failure to Identify – Fugitive, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
The incident ended in the 20800 block of the North Freeway, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page. Both men are in Harris County Jail, with Coleman's bond set at $7,500. The office encouraged the public to stay informed through their social media and the mobile app “C4 NOW.”
