A Harris County deputy responded to a significant two-vehicle accident on Friday, in which Douglas Harmer was identified as the driver at fault. According to a post by the Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 4, Harmer showed signs of intoxication at the 4400 block of Spring Cypress Road accident scene.
Harmer failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and admitted to drinking before driving. He consented to a blood draw, and investigators later confirmed he has a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.
“Douglas Harmer was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated, second offense, with an open container. His bond was set at $100 out of County Court 12,” Constable Mark Herman stated in a social media post.
