The streets of Henderson, Nevada saw an increased police presence over the holiday season as part of the City of Henderson Police Department's 3rd campaign under the current Joining Forces program. The initiative, aimed at curbing impaired driving, ran from December 16, 2025, to January 5, according to the Henderson Police Department.
During this period, the Henderson Police Department made their presence known, stopping a total of 514 motorists for various violations. A significant number of these stops resulted in citations: 280 drivers were caught speeding, 19 for distracted driving, 28 ran afoul of intersection rules, and 82 were cited for other traffic-related offenses. This campaign serves as a reminder that traffic laws are actively enforced to ensure the safety of all road users.
Funding for this enhanced enforcement was made possible through a grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety. As reported by a recent press release, the Henderson Police Department received $174,500 for the 2026 Joining Forces program.
