
Tri-DENT detectives saved the life of a one-year-old child in Winnemucca after the child ingested fentanyl, according to a Nevada State Police social media post. The incident occurred on December 23 after a 911 call reported a child not breathing.
Tri-DENT detectives, a multi-agency unit, arrived within minutes and began life-saving care. They administered naloxone and performed CPR until the child began breathing again. Authorities said the rapid response was critical following the child’s exposure to fentanyl.
The child was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The Nevada State Police praised the detectives for their quick, life-saving response.
