This Friday, Hillsborough County invites residents to celebrate Arbor Day with Tree Quest, an event combining education, recreation, and friendly competition.
According to a news release by Hillsborough County, participants will have the chance to familiarize themselves with the local flora through an interactive experience aimed at both enjoyment and learning. All it takes to join the Tree Quest, running through February 4, is a visit to any of the 13 participating county parks.
Visitors scan QR codes on tagged trees and complete a short questionnaire. Each submission enters a raffle for tree-themed prizes, including nursery gift cards, class passes, and Florida tree identification books.
