Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Motors Unit carried out the stop on January 20, 2026, identifying the driver as Chad Clowson. What appeared as a routine traffic control quickly dovetailed when it was found that Clowson had a warrant out for his arrest due to Unlawful Installation of a Tracking Device.
According to a statement provided by Constable Mark Herman, "Chad Clowson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant." The legal predicament found Clowson with a bond set at $5,000.00 by County Court 5. This type of charge is rare under most circumstances, and details on why Clowson had incurred such a warrant have not been disclosed.
