Authorities recently reported a traffic stop incident on Gosling Road that led to an arrest on an unconventional misdemeanor charge. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Motors Unit carried out the stop on January 20, 2026, identifying the driver as Chad Clowson. What appeared as a routine traffic control quickly dovetailed when it was found that Clowson had a warrant out for his arrest due to Unlawful Installation of a Tracking Device.
According to a statement provided by Constable Mark Herman, "Chad Clowson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant." The legal predicament found Clowson with a bond set at $5,000.00 by County Court 5. This type of charge is rare under most circumstances, and details on why Clowson had incurred such a warrant have not been disclosed.
Like many law enforcement agencies, the constable’s office uses social media and technology to keep the public informed.
