Deputies responded to an incident in the 15800 block of the North Freeway after an off-duty deputy called for backup to handle a combative individual. The man, later identified as Mayco Ocampo, was detained by Constable Mark Herman's deputies without further incident.
During Ocampo’s detention, he became verbally hostile and threatened deputies, stating he would assault them once freed from handcuffs, Constable Mark Herman’s office reported.
The incident resulted in Ocampo’s arrest and subsequent booking into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Retaliation. Constable Mark Herman stated, "Mayco Ocampo was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Retaliation. His bond was set at $5,000.00 out of the 263rd District Court."
