Houston authorities are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in the 6200 block of West Tidwell Road. The incident occurred Friday around 7:45 p.m. and left one woman dead, according to City of Houston officials. Her identity has not been released pending notification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division detectives H. Montealegre and G. Rangel responded to the scene and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound near the apartment entrance. She was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

All suspects fled the scene, but one male was captured on video. He is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, with multiple tattoos on his face and body. HPD has released an image of the person of interest and is asking the public for help identifying him.
