
Tragedy struck at 500 West Medical Center Boulevard in Houston this past Wednesday when a five-year-old girl died under mysterious circumstances, prompting a police investigation. The child, whose identity has yet to be publicly confirmed, was taken to a nearby hospital by private vehicle after complaining of leg pain. According to City of Houston News, the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division is now awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of this sudden loss.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Michon and I. Barrett are to thoroughly investigate the circumstances leading up to the child's death, having responded to the call yesterday around 5 p.m. The mother told officers her daughter's pain began earlier in the day and progressed by afternoon, driving her to seek medical attention. Unfortunately, efforts were in vain as the girl was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
