Authorities from Constable Mark Herman's Office have arrested Maiani Holloway in connection with an alleged assault involving flammable liquids and the threat of fire. Officers responded to an emergency call on Thursday from the 24000 block of Broken Bow Lane, where the situation reportedly posed a serious risk of a deadly fire.
According to the Constable's Facebook page, a complainant stated that her roommate, Holloway, poured paint thinner on her and tried to set both her and their shared residence on fire. Holloway was promptly taken into custody at the scene, based on the complainant’s report supported by evidence and witness statements.
“Maiani Holloway was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 487th District Court,” the Facebook post stated. Authorities said the incident highlights the dangers that can arise within a home, where domestic spaces can become the scene of violent crimes.
